Sandy
Office Manager & RDA
Sandy was born in China and moved to the United States at the age 9. After working in a dental office during high school, she realized her interest in dentistry. Sandy began her dental career over 30 years ago as a registered dental assistant. Her current role now is the office manager. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients.
Sandy has been a central part of the team of Dr. Koida’s practice since 2004.
It’s important to her that each of you experience that same feeling of ease and confidence in our office. She loves to find ways to help people smile, and that includes building confidence to share their smile! She is happy to answer your questions, plan appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits positive. Dr. Koida and Dr. Burg are fantastic doctors to work with, as they are highly skilled and fun to be around. She loves the energy of the team that shares her primary goal which is to help you!
Josie
Scheduling Coordinator
Yoseli (Josie) studied at SFSU and was raised in the bay area. She started in the dental field as a dental assistant and is now our receptionist. She loves to interact with patients and help in whatever way she can. On her free time she enjoys writing and hopes to one day publish her own book. She enjoys hiking, cooking and reading.
Tresa
Dental Hygienist
Tresa is a registered dental hygienist and has been a part of this dental team for over 20 years. She is also a part of the professional organization representing the East Bay as their Trustee at the state level of the California Dental Hygienists Association. In her spare time, Tresa is also involved in both of her children's schools as an executive board member on the PTA. She also enjoy family hikes, camping & reading.
Antoinette
Dental Hygienist
Antoinette (please call her "Tonie") was born in Oakland, California, raised in Hayward and now lives with her husband, Steven. She enjoys spending time gardening, cooking for her friends and family, knitting and volunteering in her free time. She has practiced dental hygiene for her entire 36 year career between Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda and San Francisco. Her experience is in periodontal therapy, as she worked for one of our local periodontists for 20 years.
She hopes to encourage her patients to strive for and maintain optimal dental health for less oral concerns in the future. She loves this area, the architecture, restaurants, and fun things to do. Most of all, she loves the people and patients she meets. Our patients at Rockridge Dental Studio are special. She looks forward to meeting all of you, and helping you in any way she can.
Michelle
RDA
Michelle has been a registered dental assistant for over 20 years and has been a part of the team of Dr. Burg and Dr. Koida’s practice since 2007. She thoroughly enjoys working in the dental field because she likes meeting new people and always looks forward to making her patients’ dental experiences better . In her spare time she likes to spend times with her son and dine out with friends and family.
